Every year, 18,000 patients are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers or other blood disorders that could be cured or treated with a blood stem cell transplant. But 70% of them don't have a fully matched donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match® to find an unrelated donor. Volunteers will be at WEST MONROE HIGH SCHOOL December 7, 2023 from 10am-1:30pm in the Main Lobby, to swab cheeks to be sent off and entered into the national bone marrow donor registry which could be a match for this young girl or others needing a transplant. If you are 18yrs old or older, you can register to be a donor. Students can stop by Mrs. Nix’s classroom (Room 3105) to get more information & to register. You must pre-register to be swabbed. Please take this opportunity to see if you could help save a life.
